Due to COVID-19 we are trying to minimize the traffic in County Buildings, we are asking all clientele to call before they come in, to make an appointment so we can help minimize cross traffic. Please call White Pine County Social Services at 775-293-6528 to set up an appointment.

Goal

White Pine County's goal is to move low-income individuals and families towards self-sufficiency and a better quality of life. We strive to ensure that eligible applicants receive assistance in a timely manner and through a process that is as easy as possible.

White Pine County Social Services has very limited emergency or immediate help. Eligibility for services must be established through the application process with an appointment.

Funding

Funding for the county programs comes from sales tax and ad valorem taxes (property taxes), as well as from various state and federal grants.
