A few dates to remember in May
Happy Birthday to all celebrating Birthdays and Anniversaries this Month!
Happy Mother’s Day to all Mother’s

The Senior Center will be closed Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day

White Pine County Library will have the Annual Spring Used Book Sale
Friday, May 5, 2017 9am-5pm & Saturday, May 6, 2017 9am-2pm
Books for all ages and some great bargains. 

VA Representatives and Representatives from the Choice Program for Veterans will be at the 
Convention Center from 4pm-7pm or until all Veterans are helped on Monday, May 8, 2017 

 Social Security Office’s next scheduled phone call to Center
Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2pm, if you have any questions for them.

 Blood Pressure Clinic offered by the City of Ely EMT/Fire Department
Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 11am-12Noon 

Meet one-on-one with a Disability Advocate sponsored by Nevada Disability Advocate & Law Center
The 3rd Friday of every month at White Pine County Library 9am-11am
For May the date is May 19, 2017

 Ask-A-Lawyer clinics will provide free legal advice at the White Pine County Library from 1pm-3pm
Every other Month, next visit is Wednesday, June 7, 2017 

As stated in our local paper – Ely veterans have a volunteer advocate.
Craig Sanford is located at the JOB Connect office at 1500 Ave. F. Suite 1. His phone number is 289-1616.  Give Craig a call or stop by his office he will be glad to help any Veteran.

Remember to support all our great donors and thank the individuals and our dedicated staff of the Senior Center.  It takes a combined effort to have such a great program at our Center.

Nutrition Tip: Sometimes you just need a bite of something to keep you going. But you’ve heard that eating between meals isn’t good for you. Snacks are okay, as long as they’re smart food choices.
 Here are 100 calorie snacks ideas:  

1 ½ cup grapes

20 baby carrots
